Zu sehen sind Volker Rodekamp, Günther Rössler, Kirsten Schlegel, Renate Stephan, Barbara Wandelt, Jochen Bach, Jutta Kupfer und Eva Mahn.Günter Rössler gilt als einer der bedeutendsten Fotografen Ostdeutschlands. Seine Aktbilder im „Magazin“ machten ihn berühmt. In der „Sibylle“ lichtete er Stil und Geschmack der Zeit ab und setzte nicht nur schöne, sondern auch selbstbewusste Frauen in Szene – sein Beitrag zur Emanzipation der Frau aus einem Blickwinkel, der heute außergewöhnlich scheint. Im „geschlossenen System DDR“ konnte Rössler kein internationaler Star werden, wie er es verdient gehabt hätte. Heute aber sind seine Fotografien in zahlreichen Kunstsammlungen und Museen vertreten.
Dieser Film stellt den heute 86-jährigen, immer noch arbeitenden Günter Rössler vor, so, wie seine Fotos ihre Zeit abbilden: schlicht, treffend und stilsicher.
